Going along with the Sailor Moon series I started, I came up with a concept for Mars, though it was difficult. I finally settled on one of her iconic poses, readying up her talismans.

So I sketched up the concept of “tough Usagi” and I, of course, had to come up with something just as cool for the other Sailor Senshi. In this piece, I really wanted to highlight the strength and power in Mercury, despite her being the smarts of the group.
This is a concept I came up with a while ago and finally rendered. Sailor Moon is a big inspiration to a lot of my artwork and I was looking to re-do some buttons that I did when I first started my business. Usagi is often seen as a silly, cry-baby character but she gets really tough as the series progresses. I wanted to highlight that growth in my work.
After Ramen, I got a suggestion from a friend to do a pho shaker charm. I wanted to do it in the same style as Ramen and make it a sort of companion piece. I chose to do white and blue for the color scheme for this reason, putting a traditional Vietnamese pattern on the bowl for a little bit of decoration
I really resonated the Spinel’s story and surprising saw alot of similar traits in her that I had when I was younger and less mature. I can understand the pain of being ghosted because a person doesn’t want to do the brave thing and be honest about their negative feelings about you. I had hoped to capture this feeling of betrayal in a pin design, hopefully to be made sometime in the future.
This is a formal presentation of my shaker charm concept that I created. I wanted to go for a sleek mix of traditional Japanese inspiration with a modern style, which is why I chose the type of colors that I did.
I wasn’t loving my logo, by itself, anymore, so I decided to update it. This was originally prompted by designing my first enamel pins and having to consider a backstamp design. I realized, that I didn’t have an iconic signature for my shop name, so this logo started with a sketch of just the text of “MxWolfsbane”, warped to look kind of like a mountain range. Then in a editing software, I took a free font and warped it to fit the shape. It was then that I noticed the kind of resemblance to a wolf’s head, and decided to illustrate such behind it. I then vectorized all the images that I created, incorporating my original logo into the design.
I created this design of Opal from Steven Universe rocking out of the electric guitar, as a stretch goal for my enamel pin Kickstarter coming in October. I originally wanted to do both her and Steg but realized that just Opal is enough on her own. I went for more cartoony looking features like the hands to create some visual interest and harmony.
I watched the Steven Universe movie and fell in love with the song “Disobedient”- I knew I had to create something based off of it. I decided to go with a head of Sade Killer (an unfortunately fictional punk band from the show) sticking her tongue out and looking very defiant as a design. These will be made into hard enamel pins if my Kickstarter in October is successful!
For Amethyst’s design, I struggled selecting a quote from the show that I could create something from but ultimately settled for the line in the full version of the opening song. I created a vector rendition of her whip beside pieces of amethyst gems, continuing with the simple, yet iconic designs for the characters.
