Ever Wolfsbane 
This was the second concept I put out related to my treat-themed lolita fashion series. Just like the first one, I enjoyed working on this piece. I felt like this one came out naturally, as I alright decided on the concept of lemon bears. The puffy afro pigtails work well, I feel, as subtle bear ears.
Going along with the Sailor Moon series I started, I came up with a concept for Mars, though it was difficult. I finally settled on one of her iconic poses, readying up her talismans.
So I sketched up the concept of “tough Usagi” and I, of course, had to come up with something just as cool for the other Sailor Senshi. In this piece, I really wanted to highlight the strength and power in Mercury, despite her being the smarts of the group.
This is a concept I came up with a while ago and finally rendered. Sailor Moon is a big inspiration to a lot of my artwork and I was looking to re-do some buttons that I did when I first started my business. Usagi is often seen as a silly, cry-baby character but she gets really tough as the series progresses. I wanted to highlight that growth in my work.
This piece started as a promotional piece for my Memento Mori Kickstarter launching in March. The animals are based on pin designs that I made previously. I pushed myself to make this a very detailed piece with a full background, something that I don’t often do and the result is something I’m quite proud of.
After Ramen, I got a suggestion from a friend to do a pho shaker charm. I wanted to do it in the same style as Ramen and make it a sort of companion piece. I chose to do white and blue for the color scheme for this reason, putting a traditional Vietnamese pattern on the bowl for a little bit of decoration
This was a fun piece to do. It was an excellent way to exercise my creativity and dive more into outfit/costume design that I’ve been wanting to do for a while. This is one of the first times that I played with a lighter lineart, instead of my usually plain black.
I really resonated the Spinel’s story and surprising saw alot of similar traits in her that I had when I was younger and less mature. I can understand the pain of being ghosted because a person doesn’t want to do the brave thing and be honest about their negative feelings about you. I had hoped to capture this feeling of betrayal in a pin design, hopefully to be made sometime in the future.
This is a formal presentation of my shaker charm concept that I created. I wanted to go for a sleek mix of traditional Japanese inspiration with a modern style, which is why I chose the type of colors that I did.
This was my first year participating in Inktober, a yearly, once-a-day challenge for artists to draw and complete pieces in ink for the length of October. This piece is my first one that I did, for day one, following a unofficial prompt made by Inartbee, Botanical Witches. The prompt for the day was belladonna lily, and I had the idea to start off simple and illustrate a witch with belladonna in her hat. I wanted to practice my values and work with contrast, and I think I did decently for my first Inktober.
